Our treasures revealed at Kirkcaldie & Stains
Te Papa Store’s new central-city outlet is open at Kirkcaldie and Stains on Brandon Street.
Like our Museum, the new Te Papa Store is filled with amazing treasures that all have a story to tell. There are reproduction art cards and postcards from Te Papa’s collections, and the shelves are full of award-winning titles from Te Papa Press – including the recently launched ‘New Zealand Fashion Design’ book.
But that’s not all. The store is packed with amazing artefacts. New Zealand artists’ inspirational design and skilful handcrafts are represented in a wonderful selection of jewellery and applied arts in glass, wood, and ceramics. Māori artworks are a speciality, and a selection of clothing from Kia Kaha celebrates iconic Aotearoa New Zealand design.

We haven’t forgotten the kids! You’ll find uniquely New Zealand children’s books and fun gifts to feed their imaginations, including the specially-created colossal squid soft toy.
