Code a robot-dance-a-thon!
When: 1-3pm Thursday 4th of October
Where: Hīnātore, Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongawera,
55 Cable St, Te Aro, Wellington 6011
Cost: $25 per child (including GST) and accompanying adults are free - maximum of 1 adult per child
These family-friendly events are for children accompanied by adults. All child tickets must be purchased alongside a free adult ticket (multiple children may be accompanied by 1 adult).
We're having a party at Te Papa and all the robots want to dance - but they need some help.
This fun and interactive workshop will get the whole family involved in learning to code and teaching robots some new dance moves. You will meet Baxter, the assembly line automaton who has only just learned how to dab. Make friends with the adorable Cue and Dash, design them a costume out of LEGO and train them to strut their stuff. You can even make your family dance with scratch coding and some green screen magic! Limited to 30 child places, maximum of 1 accompanying adult per child.
Please direct all queries to our Learning Coordinator at firstname.lastname@example.org.
There is a second event 10am-12pm Thursday 4th October.
